Hello Readers! Kate and Lauren here, yes the two featured in the photo above! We’ve started this blog as a way to chronicle our adventures as we live a more eco-friendly life. What led us to this decision? Well, funny story really. We met each other at our previous Corporate America, 9am-5pm (more like a 7am-7pm + take all your work home with you) job. We instantly connected and found we had a shared passion for our planet, the Earth, the oceans, and all its inhabitants. Every time we got together sparks ignited and we quickly realized that we were put on this Earth to do more and be more. After long conversations, late nights, and a HUGE decision to make we both agreed that our job at the time wasn’t for us – we were extremely overworked, felt no fulfillment, and had both developed bad anxiety from the “go go go” office mentality. We took care of our clients at our job and now it is time to take care of ourselves and quite frankly – THE WORLD. We both ended up quitting and investing all that time into this. Here we will be writing and posting about our adventures across the world, the beautiful creatures we encounter, the gorgeous scenery we are working so hard to preserve, and even some alarming photos to exhibit the sad realities and struggles our Earth is currently facing. Here we want to EMPOWER people to WANT to make a difference. Along with that, we want to show our readers that you can accomplish anything  you put your mind to. We agree, it is a lot easier said than done but hard work does pay off and we’re here to authentically prove it to you with our journey. We want you to know that it is okay to leave a job you aren’t happy with or move to a new city you’ve always dreamt about.. the world is your oyster (as long as we preserve it that is).  We’ll keep you updated on our latest experiences, everyday tips to live a more sustainable lifestyle, and how to make a change while remaining budget friendly.
